Dr. Colleton’s private practice is largely dedicated to civil (non-criminal) matters, such as:
  • workplace issues, including disability, fitness for duty, return to work, and violence risk
  • professional capacity (health care practitioners, lawyers, teachers, others)
  • civil litigation (long-term psychological effects of trauma)
  • review of files and expert reports and advice to litigators
  • large or complex files

Dr. Colleton has completed assessments related to risk of violent re-offence, risk of sexual re-offence, criminal responsibility, and fitness to stand trial. He has provided expert testimony in court and before tribunals.

Dr. Colleton is a consultant psychiatrist at a secure youth detention centre and at a probation and parole office.
